Privacy Policy

Effective: 14 August 2026 · Version 2026-08-14

SoundBattly is designed to do most media processing on your device. We do not upload your finished reaction videos or ordinary attempts to our servers. We store a short original audio clip only when you deliberately create a shared challenge link, and we store your email only when you expressly join the launch waitlist.

1. Who we are

SoundBattly is operated under the Arongame Studio name (“SoundBattly”, “we”, “us”). For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@soundbattly.com. For general support, contact support@soundbattly.com.

This policy applies to the SoundBattly mobile application, the website at soundbattly.com, shared challenge links, and related services.

2. Information we collect

Information you choose to provide

Information processed on your device

Camera video, microphone audio, local custom sounds, comparison metrics, scores, rendered videos, and local history are normally processed and stored on your device. They leave the device only when you intentionally use a system share function or create a shared challenge. The shared challenge contains the original challenge sound and its comparison profile—not your finished reaction video or another player’s attempt.

Technical information

Cloudflare may process standard request information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP address, request time, hostname, requested path, device/browser information, and security signals. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and the public website does not set advertising cookies.

3. Device permissions

Permissions are requested through your operating system. You can change them in device settings. We do not use camera, microphone, or photo data for advertising.

4. Why we use information

Where applicable, our legal bases are: performance of the service you request; your consent for waitlist marketing; our legitimate interests in operating and protecting SoundBattly; and compliance with law. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

5. Shared challenges and visibility

Shared challenge links are unlisted, not confidential. We do not place them in a public catalog or intentionally index them for search, but anyone who receives a link can open or forward it. A recipient may also make a local recording or copy. Do not share confidential conversations, another person’s voice without permission, or material you are not authorized to distribute.

6. Service providers and disclosures

We use Cloudflare to run the website and Workers, store challenge metadata and waitlist records in D1, store shared audio in private R2 storage, provide security, and deliver content. When Premium purchases are enabled, RevenueCat may process purchase identifiers and subscription status, while Apple or Google processes the store transaction. If you choose to share to another app or platform, that recipient processes the content under its own privacy terms.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate infringement or abuse, or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information, rent the waitlist, or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. International processing

Our providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual or legal safeguards. The exact processing location can vary based on Cloudflare’s network and service configuration.

8. Retention

9. Security

We use encrypted HTTPS transport, private object storage, random link and deletion credentials, access-controlled moderation tools, request limits, and other reasonable safeguards. No online system is completely secure. Keep creator-deletion tokens and private links out of public posts unless you intend broad access.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal data; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a data protection authority. You may also have rights to know the categories and sources of information, request deletion or correction, and receive equal service when exercising privacy rights.

To exercise a right, email privacy@soundbattly.com from the relevant address and describe your request. We may need limited information to verify that the request concerns you. You can delete a shared challenge from the device that created it using its locally stored creator credential. Every marketing email we send will provide an unsubscribe method.

11. Children

SoundBattly is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly collect waitlist emails from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy as the product, providers, or law changes. We will post the new effective date and, for material changes, provide an appropriate notice or request new consent where required.
